Annual Parish Meeting

Under Schedule 12 Part III paragraph 14 of the Local Government Act (1972) each parish is required to hold an Annual Parish Meeting on some day between 1st March and 1st June, both inclusive, in every year. It is the responsibility of Pauntley Parish Council to arrange this meeting. This meeting should not be confused with the Annual Parish Council Meeting, which is held seperately.

The next Annual Parish Meeting will take place on the 28th April 2025 at 6pm in Pauntley Village Hall. All welcome to attend.

2018 Pauntley Annual Parish Meeting

Our Annual Parish Meeting for 2018 took place on Thursday 10 May in Pauntley Village Hall, where we were joined by around 14 people. Nick Fowke presented a report for the year on the parish council and village hall. Maddon and Lucy came along from Pauntley Primary School to tell us what they had been doing during the year. We also had a short presentation by Sarah Davies, Dementia Friendly Community Enabler for the Forest North. Sarah’s role is to raise awareness of dementia within the communities in and around the Forest of Dean, and to enable people in these communities to have a better understanding of dementia and the effect it can have on all our lives.

The meeting was followed by an informal get-together with wine and nibbles.

2017 Annual Parish Meeting

At our Annual Parish Meeting on 16 May, over 40 people came along to hear reports from the Parish Council and Village Hall, with Sgt Mark Burns presenting the police report for the year. Zac and John also came along from Pauntley Primary School, with Mrs Tyler (Deputy Head) to tell us about what has been going on at the school. A presentation was given by Erica Stanford of Voneus Broadband on their service, which may be of interest to residents whose broadband speeds are poor.

After the formal meeting, refreshments and informal chats were enjoyed.
