Pauntley Voluntary Emergency Telephone Scheme
Pauntley parish operates a Volunteer Emergency Telephone Scheme (VETS), designed to assist the lone rescuer, with volunteers collecting and taking one of our two defibrillators to them. A third of all 999 calls are from lone rescuers, so getting help to them quickly is important. VETS is a community-run scheme and enables up to 10 “good neighbours” to assist with this, pending the arrival of the emergency services. We are looking for two additional volunteers to join our scheme, and training will be provided. If you feel you would like to help, please contact us for more information.
