Since the closure of the Newent Friday Market at Newent Memorial Hall at the start of the first lockdown, many of you will have been having weekly deliveries from Sue and Charlotte from their van during lockdowns and various other restrictions. They have been busy over the last few months organising their new mobile market van, which will be visiting a number of village halls and other locations in the area, to bring a local famers market out to the community. We are pleased to report that they will now be visiting Pauntley Village Hall on the third Friday morning of each month, beginning on Friday 17 September, from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm. Our regular coffee mornings take place at the hall on the first and third Friday of each month, and so you will now be able to combine your shopping with a coffee and chat. Everyone is welcome, from within and outside the parish. There is plenty of parking at the hall and we are always pleased to see new faces at our coffee mornings.
Charlotte and Sue have provided a lifeline to many in our community during the last 18 months, delivering orders to the door each week of local fresh fruit and vegetables, local meat form Charlotte’s Brockmore Farm, bread and cakes, eggs, preserves and too many other items to list here. It will be a great opportunity to support them in their new venture and to support local producers, so we hope you will be able to come along.
