The History of Pauntley Village Hall
Pauntley Village Hall dates from 1949, when Thomas Scott and John Millard conveyed land in Brand Green to the trustees for the hall. It has provided a focal point for events in the parish since that date and in 2008, Pauntley Parish Council was elected Sole Trustee of the hall. The Parish Council has overall responsibility for the hall but the Village Hall Committee is responsible for its day-to-day running and for the organisation of events.
Registered Charity Status
Pauntley Village Hall is a charity registered with the Charity Commission (Charity Number 301598) and each year our annual accounts are submitted to them and can be viewed on their website by clicking here.
Refurbishment
The Parish Council Village Hall Committee has obtained a number of grants to enable the hall to be externally insulated, add non-slip flooring in the toilets and lobby. A petanque court was installed in the grounds thanks to a Build Back Better Grant. Most recently, solar panels have been fitted and new acoustic panels installed to the ceiling to improve the quality of the sound in the Hall. The Parish Council along with the Village Hall Committee continue to work on its internal refurbishment.
